On December 10, Qualcomm announced that it had succeeded in a court case that got certain iPhone models banned from being sold in China. A little over a week later, we're now seeing the same thing happen in Germany.

Per Qualcomm:

The injunction covers all models of iPhones that contain the infringing functionalities and apply to Apple's European Union entities as well as Apple Incorporated. The judgment is immediately enforceable once Qualcomm posts bonds covering potential damages incurred by Apple should the judgment be overturned or amended on appeal.

The iPhone models in question include devices that shipped with iOS 11, so Apple's latest iPhones like the XS, XS Max, and XR aren't affected. Shortly after Qualcomm issued its press release, Apple came back with its own, saying:

During the appeal process, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models will not be available at Apple's 15 retail stores in Germany. iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR will remain available in all our stores.

It's pretty crazy that Qualcomm's been successful with these attempted bans in two countries already, and it'll be fascinating to see where we go from here. In this particular case, Qualcomm says Apple infringed on a patent that, "provides a way to mitigate power amplifier power consumption which enables the device to use power more efficiently and extend battery life in smartphones."

Anyway it is good for them, I will not have pity for apple for every case they lose in court based on patent, they have ripped off their competitors based on IP which originally did not belong to them.

Last time I told Poeple the ban in China is not related to Huawei dispute with USA, I think I'm right now.

Intel needs to come up with 5G as soon as possible otherwise apple will be roasted especially since USA is discouraging American companies from using Huawei 5G chips and apple is in serious fight with Qualcomm.

I don't know why a company will be this greedy, you are using another companies intellectual property and you don't want to pay for it, maybe apple thinks every organisation is like Sony that allow them to steal their design and concept and go scot free.

Notch belongs to essential phone na, I can say media are to blame for some of those claims, because media also says such when they know it was not true.

well the battle continues, kudos to qualcomm!! Apple has been riping other companies apart in like manner. Since intel is taking time to develop 5G and apple wont do business with huawei or qualcomm then they have to come up with their own 5G chipsets for their macbook laptops or remain stranded!!
Btw is shamzam still free and working, cos apple will either monitize or kill any tech company they buy!!

Iphone banned in second country, more to follow.
They have made huge profits from lawsuit and infringement cases, Little did we know that they infringe other company's patents too.
And this legal battles in many country is what apple don't need at this moment because they will never come out unhurt from it.
They are meant to be dealing with low sales of their 2018 flagship and now they have been banned in 2 countries and more to follow

Just like Nokia, Blackberry, Samsung in the past....Iphone's time at the top is coming to an end.

Most Tech guys know this.....Chinese phone makers are innovating and taking over gradually,

Brands like Huawei, Xiaomi, Oneplus, Oppo, Vivo, Meizu.

This lawsuits will damage apple's reputation.

At Fonehouse, we’re often asked by our customers how they can extend the battery life on their iPhone. In a world where we’re all getting increasingly busy, the demand for a phone which is long lasting and doesn’t run down has risen at an exponential rate. Conserving your phone battery can be a challenge, but thankfully there are a few things that you can do to make sure that it doesn’t drain too quickly. To try and help make sure that your phone stays on a good level of battery, we’re going to be taking a look at a few tips and tricks here.
