I recently sold my car without my plate number. I just got another used one of the same make, model, and colour. The only difference now is the engine and chassis number. I want to use the former plate number for it when renewing the license..... How much will this cost me?

I think the first thing is to find out from the authorities concern if it is legal to swap plate numbers. What I know is that every vehicle is assigned a plate number which is documented in the database. Is it possible to go and change the plate number? This is the big question before people begin to get their hand burnt.

You own your plate number, that is why you could choose not to hand it over to the buyer when you sold your car.

I also sold my Toyota Camry without the plate number and I bought a Toyota corrolla . I still do t know if to jus fix d old plate number on d new car. We need more info on this .

Ur existing no plate can be used to register ur new acquired vehicle . pls don't ' just' fix n use. Processing is required. Details in my signature for details.
