They've been cremated. I can understand the resentment but studies have shown that cremation is actually the cleanest and the most environmental friendly form of burial.
Although this was accidental, for which I condole the families involved.

Chai! Double wahala for dead bodies.

But wait o! Is this a general hospital mortuary? Look at the structures sef. This looks more like a roadside mortuary.

Reason why I love Islamic way of burial, once you re confirmed dead, the next thing Na to bury you,it irritates me when I see some people trying to extorts relatives before they could grant the right to bury corpse, this has been most factors why some corpses are neglected nd hereby causing health issues to the environment

blackgold2018:
hey Nigeria can afford the cost. It's just that we don't have value for human beings. That's all.
In abroad they will preserve there loved ones.. still looking fresh at the funeral. But here in Nigeria even if they look like masquerade before burial nobody cares.
Seriously we cannot afford it, with the way things are in the country now. Electricity is epileptic, and we need stable power before the corpse will start decomposing. Now can you imagine the cost of running a generator for the freezers? Until Nigeria improves on power delivery, industrialization and things that rely on power will always be too costly to maintain.
