The Cross River Government has begun the recruitment process for the employment of 1000 health workers a statement from the State’s Primary Health Care Development Agency says.
The statement signed by the Director General of the agency, Dr. Betta Edu and issued on New Year’s day in Calabar said the submission of credentials by interested applicants will be done online.
“The recruitment exercise is in futherance to the commitment of the current administration led by Governor Ben Ayade to position the health sector for efficiency in line with the recommendations made in the Alma Ata declaration.
“The exercise also is in line with the Governor’s directives made in the last quarter of 2018 to strengthen the manpower in the Primary Health Care system as a vital step towards achieving universal health coverage.

“Therefore, interested applicants are hereby directed to visit https://crsphcda.org/Resumee/apply and follow the instructions to submit their credentials,” the statement read.

Furthermore, the statement directed that, “all applications will be submitted online directly to the Agency, and applicants will be applying to work in specific primary health care facilities across the state, Where they will be bonded.
“On no account should any member of the public give any money to anybody for employment in Cross River state Primary health care Development Agency.
“The employment process is free. Anyone who gives money to staff of the agency or any other person for the purpose of this employment does so at their own peril.
“If discovered the applicant stands automatic disqualification and the perpetrators will be made to face the full weight of the law.”
It will be recalled that Governor Ayade had, during the quarterly review meeting of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency directed that 1000 health workers be employed to address issues of manpower shortage.
He had also commissioned into use, dozens of tricycle ambulances for hard to reach areas.
