Our client, a reputable Engineering company is seeking the services of an Experienced Project Accountant to be based in Port Harcourt. The project Accountant provides day-to-day accounting support to project management team.

Job Description
• Develop a budget for each project, track financial performance against the budget and identify the risks and issues.
• Maintain the project costing system/cost centers including project set-up; ensuring all processes are up-to-date, implement new control procedures to manage cost allocation and cost reporting as necessary.
• Process weekly job cost payables for field review and approval.

Qualifications
• B.Sc. in Accounting
• Advanced certification in project management
• Minimum of two (2) years working experience as a Project Accountant
• Professional qualification in accounting (e.g. ACA, ACCA, ACMA)

Skills and Abilities
• Proficient at using Microsoft Project and Excel software
• Ability to think analytically
• Cooperative and willing to take the initiative to help others when possible
• Ability to work successfully with a team and independently
