Oliseh Rules Out Nff Job: For Now by honeric01(m): 4:26am On Aug 11, 2010
Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh who is based in Belgium has ruled out running for one of the positions available in the NFF in the near future.

Oliseh told www.supersport.com that "There are too many factors and factions fighting for the positions there that I will not be getting involved at all.''

In a season where former Nigeria international players have come together under one umbrella to push for their inclusion in the process to become more involved in running the game in Nigeria, a lot of high profile former international players have signified their intention to participate in the 2010 Nigeria football Federation (NFF) Elections including former Captains Christian Chukwu, Segun Odegbami and Austin "Jay-Jay" Okocha.

The former Ajax and Juventus midfielder went on the lament to www.supersport.com "It is very sad to see how Nigeria has become when you see where Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal and others are.''

He continues that "these countries seem to have determined that they need to have the right people running their football houses but in Nigeria that does not seem to be the case."

Sunday represented Nigeria in the World Cup in 1994 and 1998 winning the Olympic medal in 1996. He is best remembered for his cracking winning goal in Nigeria’s 3-2 upset victory over top favorites Spain from …yards. He began his European career with Standard Liege (Belgium) and played in the Serie A with Reggiana and Juventus, Ajax in the Netherlands and Borrussia Dortmund and Bochum in the Bundesliga. He has seen moved on to Club Management in Belgium.
