Church usher identified as Saviour Udoh, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for reportedly raping a girl inside a church.




Saviour Udoh who is a worker at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (Redemption Pavilion), had sex with the 5-year old daughter of one of the church’s members who was taken to the church for prayers and protection.

The mother of the girl who left her in church thinking she will be safe, met Udoh and rape victim sleeping together upon her return. It was gathered that the girl, kept putting her hand inside her private part on their way home because of the sperm drifting from it. The distraught mum who questioned her daughter after she noticed this, was told that Udoh was responsible.



The Church usher was later arrested after the lady reported the incident to the MAN Centre Police Station. He has since been transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for further investigations.


The suspect who admitted to the crime, claimed that the devil pushed him into defiling the girl inside the church. He has also been arraigned before an Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement. It was learnt that his plea was not taken and he was not granted bail. While the case was adjourned till 6th February, 2019, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O .Osunsanmi, ordered him to be remanded in prison without an option of bail.
