Ondo State Government has reiterated its readiness to proactively address insecurity with a view to creating conducive environment for investors across the state.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Administration and Policy Planning, Mr Jones Ogunmusire revealed the plan while briefing newsmen at the governor’s office on the proposed Security Summit in the state scheduled to hold on Thursday at the dome in Akure.

Ogunmusire who is also the Chairman, Planning Committee, explained that the first Security become imperative due to the current security challenge in the state and the developmental efforts of the State Government to attract capital in-flow of investors and their investments.


He blamed the security challenge on geographical location of the State where suspected criminals from neighbouring states often moved in to carry out their nefarious activities.


The proposed summit that would have about five hundred security experts is themed “Improving Security Architecture in Ondo State for Sustainable Peace and Development.
