Hello NL, I want to purchase a Nigerian used 2001 BWM E39 but I don't kow much about the car. Although I've driven the COJA 3series and it was awesome, I love the feel and handling of the Bimmer. Please I need expert advice on the reliability and maintenance of the BMW E39.

Don't buy a Nigerian used on except you are extremely sure it was well maintained by the owner and hasn't been abused. The E39 is an old car but still way more complicated than a 2013 camry.

The E39 is a fantastic driver's car. I would suggest you go for the facelifted model: More power, better looking with the 'Angel eyes' Headlamp.

I would strongly suggest you go for tokunbo.

That is the best 5series... Cheapest parts ever. I can buy any 5 series tokunbo or naija so far the body is still intact.

unfortunately Nigerians are bent on Toyota, I love the e39 but doubt if the tokunbo are still I. the country or even allowed in due to its age.
