More facts have emerged on why the sacked Director-General of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), Dr. Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke was ignobly removed from office.

She was said to have rebuffed the advice of both President Goodluck Jonathan and former President, Olusegun Obasanjo to resign her appointment after billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote sent a petition to the Securities and Exchange Commission alleging financial infraction against her. She had run to the two men to intervene on her behalf.

The sacked Director-General, according to sources close to her, is currently running from pillar to post to regain her exalted position.

Besides the law suit of N3 billion against the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), challenging her removal, she is also said to have embarked on intense lobbying to make the capital market regulator rescind its decision.

Okereke-Onyiuke had approached Jonathan first, but was shocked to be told it would be impossible for her to keep her job. She was given the option to resign.

She then ran to Obasanjo, her mentor. But the former president was angry to learn from her, she had first approached Jonathan. So he simply gave her the same option: resignation.

The troubled former NSE Director-General was also seen on the camp ground of the Redeemed Church of God and was understood to have met with Pastor Enoch Adeboye for prayers to keep her job.

Why? Because the RCCG god loves criminals. They usually have this habit of possessing a lot of cash for the almighty tithes.God loves tithes and does not discriminate how the tithers come about the money.

I am not a fan of Okereke-Onyiuke but I think it's too early to label her a criminal.  The fundamental principle of justice requires that we hear from all parties and they should be given a chance to defend themselves.  Life is not always fair though.

The religious angle should also not come as a surprise.  In times of trouble, most people (whether guilty or not) seek God, whether as Christians or as Muslims or practitioners of other belief systems. Religion as the opium? Yes.

RCCG also needs to manage its reputation better as it has come under heat in recent times but again, what do you expect them to do in this instance?

Maybe they feel they are in good company. They both take other people's money under false pretences!!

How can u immediately declare a woman guilty because Nigerian govt is after her in a country that uses political reasons to witch hunt individuals. Moreover even if she is guilty, Adeboye was not reported as a collaborator, I wonder why RCCG is mentioned in your thread, she is a soul that needs to be won to Christ.Adeboye is not the govt,he is a representative of Christ that gives sinners a second chance to repent. The law can go after her not a man of God who is interested in her eternal destiny
