With a user strength of over 1 billion, with India being among its top markets, Facebook owned messaging app suffered a major outage wherein the users were getting the push notification for new messages but were not able to access the messaging app for sending or receiving messages for a long time.

Without a waste of time, the users took to social media networks, Facebook and Twitter to report this problem.

Notably, users have reported this outage by checking on the quick and useful website, DownDetector in India, Italy, Chile, Romania, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Brazil, France, the US, Holland, Argentina, Germany and more.

As reported by tentaran, a spokesperson for Whatsapp said: “WhatsApp users around the world are unable to access the service. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to fix the issue as soon as possible.”

However, an interesting fact is that when WhatsApp was down worldwide, it was working fluently in Nigeria, how come? Have they been excluded from the world already?
