Support the Nigerian Pidgin Language Bible Project
We are Mercy Christian Ministry International (MCMI), a registered indigenous non-governmental and non-denominational organization. MCMI came into existence in 1989, as a result of a divine call received by the President of the Ministry, Apostle Roy Okonkwo. MCMI is committed to making a unique impact in the lives of all Nigerians and Christians in particular.
Based on the divine call, the President of the ministry started the translation of the Holy Bible into Nigerian Pidgin Language (NPL) on 26th February, 1999. The first draft of the complete Bible (Genesis to Revelation) translated into NPL was completed in October, 1999.
The NPL Bible has been checked many times and is ready for the final check before its publication and distribution.
Over the years, MCMI’s activities have been mainly supported by individual savings, donations from friends of the ministry, as well as concerned individuals and institutions.
