The 25 Greatest Sci-fi TV Shows Ever by iamalex(m): 1:22pm On Feb 01, 2019
TV seasons have become an integral part of individuals’ lives these days. Keeping up with trends is as essential for adults as it is for the teens. And to satisfy this growing demand of people to watch the latest shows, companies like Netflix came into being. Not only this, but channels like Fox also started featuring some of the most celebrated shows. Cable service providers like Spectrum also offer it with their packages. So if you are a subscriber, you can easily find out what channel is Fox on Charter online. The most popular genre these days seems to be the Family or Sci-Fi.

In case, Sci-Fi is amongst your favorite genre to watch, here’s a list of some of the best shows:

Babylon 5
A seminal work of fiction, this show features a set some hundred years in the future. It blends religion, space exploration, and political rivalry. The series was also the pioneer in introducing CGI effects. This marked a turning point, changing the way effects were used in Sci-Fi shows before this time.

Battlestar Galactica
This remains one of the most compelling shows to have aired in the past decade. And it still remains a benchmark other Sci-Fi shows inspire to reach when it comes to a space set.

Black Mirror
This show caters to the various ways that technology can influence our lives in the future. From the people’s obsession with reality TV to the way, technology can change the way we grieve the dead, this show has some rather astonishing things that will leave you wondering.

Doctor Who
Revolving around the theme of a doctor who times travels, this show has a lot to offer. From historical stories to space-set horror, the show remains one of the finest productions in the world of Sci-Fi till date.

The Expanse
This show employs an ambitious approach when it comes to storytelling. The whole series revolves around a conspiracy that the characters try to dig into and one that can lead to all-out war.

Farscape
This show is basically a story of an astronaut sucked by a wormhole, eventually dropped in the middle of an alien world.

Humans
This show happens to be a rather interesting blend of Parenthood, A.I. and Blade Runner. It is a thrilling fantasy that takes you in the near future where androids function as humans’ servants.

Red Dwarf
A nerdy comedy, this show is a story of antagonistic coworkers who get stranded in deep space together.

The 100
This show takes a rather interesting turn of events by featuring a world post-Earth days after the planet vanishes due to Nuclear destruction.

Now and Again
An action-adventure version of the hit Broadway Damn Yankees, this show narrates a rather interesting scenario. Where the brain of a suburban man is stuck into the body of a super-soldier engineered by the government.

Misfits
A show featuring a bunch of felonious kids displaying their uncanny abilities, Misfits is a darkly funny show. The twisted fun that the show entails does not fail to entertain the audience.

Futurama
One of the nerdiest sitcoms to have aired on TV, Futurama is full of jokes only a Ph.D. could understand at laugh at. Sorry Big Bang Theory fans, but this show nails it.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy
A comedy science fiction series, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is based on Eoin Colfer’s book ‘And Another Thing.

The Leftovers
This show takes a science fiction event and leaves you wondering what if something of that sort really happens. According to the critics, with every passing episode, the show just keeps getting better.

Battle of the Planets
An American adaptation of the Japanese anime, this show casts five people as the G-Force. These young individuals strive to protect the planet Earth from planet Spectra.

V
The 80s kids were presented by some mind-boggling questions with this series that featured alien race. These aliens later become rat-eating Earth conquerors.

Jessica Jones
Without a cape or a white hat in sight, this show keeps the audience glued to the screen with its depiction of Jessica. J has advanced reflexes who happens to be a hard-drinking P.I.

The Flash
Going into its third season, this show is a comic-book adaptation. It is a perfect blend of giddy adventure and heart-wrenching drama.

Space: 1999
The show narrates the story of a moon base crew. The crew fights to survive after a huge explosion that shifts the moon from its orbit into space.

Firefly
A space cowboy series, Firefly is set some 500 years in the future.

Dollhouse
Set in an underground facility, Dollhouse kept its audience entertained by doing something new with the characters every week.

Fringe
Shifting between worlds, this show is full of ‘what-ifs.’ The force that kept the audiences engaged.

Utopia
This rather interest grabbing show is based on a bootleg graphic novel that may (or may not) contain clues regarding a government plan.

Orphan Black
This show involves the concept of human cloning and keeps the viewers engaged with every new episode.

The Prisoner
This show is a frightening yet funny and philosophical allegory. It is one of the bleakest shows ever.

The list does not exhaust here. You can always find more shows in the same genre. But these (according to me) are some of the best ones till date. And in case, you do not want to pay an extra subscription fee for Netflix, opt for services like AT&T for more details contact at&t wireless customer support. You will get to choose between packages and channels that will fulfill your season watching needs. Select a blend of channels that does justice to your binge-watching habits.
