No doubt as a parent or if you are planning to be one in future, you definitely want your kids to be very smart and intelligent. Well not all parents are able to achieve this.

Just as a computer gives you back every thing you input on it(garbage in garbage out),so our children grow up to become who we train them to be. Dont expect to type bad on a computer system and expect it to print out good. in the same way, never expect a positive result from your kids when you never gave them the right training that would enable them become better persons in future.

Well bringing up our kids to become better person that will add value to the society involves more than just training them up the right way. Diet plays a larger part in this process.

A healthy balanced diet does not just build up our kids physical appearance, but also builds up their brains. As a human, our brain must function properly to become useful to ourselves, our families and the society in general. This therefore means that we must be very interested in caring for our kids cognitive function other than just their physical looks.


The right food when given to our kids as they grow up helps improve their brain function, memory and concentration. Like the body, the brain absorbs nutrients from the food we eat. So give your kids the right food to help develop their brainpower as they grow up. Listed bellow are food we must ensure our kids take regularly to build up their brain function

EGGS


Eggs are great source of protein and their yolks have choline, an important nutrient for memory development. Make sure to give your kids a homemade fried eggs loaded with vegetables as breakfast before school.

SALMON


These are fatty fish which are very good source of omega 3 fatty acids that are needed for brain growth and its function. Eating alot of salmon to get enough fatty acids helps kids improve their mental skills.

BERRIES


These helps memory. They are packed with vitamin c and other antioxidants and its seeds also contain omega 3 fats that helps brain function.

Berries with intense color has more nutrients so go for these. There are lot of berries you can give to your kids to help build their brain power. They include strawberries, cherries, blue berries and blackberries.

BEANS


Beans have been known to be very good for the heart. You would be surprised to know that it is also very good for the brain. They contain protein, complex carbohydrates, fiber and vitamins and minerals. Encourage your kids to eat beans regularly at least twice weekly. Add beans as salad topper, as filler for lettuce wraps or even them to spaghetti for more nutrients.

VEGETABLES


Vegetables are very good for all including children. They are good source of antioxidants to keep the brain cells healthy. To get the best from vegetables, go for rich deep color once as they contain more nutrients. Include it in your kids diet regularly .

LEAN BEEF


Lean beef are good sources of iron, that helps kids maintain energy and focus when in school. This should be given to our kids regularly to keep them active.

WHOLE GRAINS


As part of a general healthy diet, consumption of whole grains is associated with lower risk of several diseases.Whole grains are a source of carbohydrates, multiple nutrients and dietary fiber. They also contain B vitamins and glucose which are good for the brain and nervous system

OATS & OATMEAL


These are excellent sources of energy and brain fuel. Oats are filled with fiber that helps keep kids feeling full so they dont grave for junk foods, and also oats are excellent source of vitamin E, B complex and zinc to help kids brains reach its highest potential.

PEANUT BUTTER


No doubt kids love this. This healthy snacks is a great source of vitamin E, and antioxidant that protects the nerve membranes. Also has thiamine which is very good for the brain and glucose which gives energy.

MILK AND YOGURT


Milk and yogurts contains vitamins which are necessary for growth of the brain tissues, neurotransmitters and enzymes.

Low fat milk or yogurt is a great source of the brain. They are source of vitamin D which children and teens need in a great amount than adult.

Keep your children healthy by giving them the right food and this will also help them grow and build up their brain to become productive.make the needed change today.
