I'm just curious, as someone who's been here just under some few years myself, as to what drew you, new or returning members to NL. I stumbled in here while on a hunt for something off-menu to look at while playing, I found a whole lot more! I find that I'm as much here just to shoot the shit with like minded open people who are just looking for some fun as I am for the wonderful members' pics (and member pics), live chat cams, and shared online "experiences". Oddly enough, just being able to talk about whatever with people is more appealing to me (generally) than the sexual content, though when I am looking to get off on beautiful amateur men and women of all shapes and sizes, this is the place to be! So, how about you? What brings you here? What keeps you coming (and/or cumming) back? |

Particularly the romance section, used to be much more interesting, long-term members didn't just turn up to derail threads, they often came in to contribute, and there were several really well-meaning people who just wanted to tell you just like it is, and not sugar coat anything, and they were always very level-headed. But many went, many have gone to other forums, and the romance forum is basically recycling the same stuff over and over, we're no longer developing together, but instead, new people come to post the same things over and over again. Now, I'm not saying noobs spoil the fun, but you need those existing members to carry on the flow of the board, otherwise it never really goes anywhere, the direction becomes thrown off. Many old members now prefer to chat and discuss in their private IMs and such with members that they have come to like and grow with, they would rather invest their advice there, with like-minded people, and socialise with their friends, probably in their minds, there's no need for these noobs. Lastly, I really think that there is a HUGE problem with this forum not having PM, it leaves a gap, which people need, and they fill using other websites, other mediums. So Nairaland does all the hard work, the debates are started and opened, and members are advertised, by MSN, Yahoo, AIM, physical social gatherings, seal the deal, by pairing together like minds, allow them to express themselves, their secrets etc, and they take the glory. I really don't understand why there isn't any PM, I haven't ever seen an explanation. This could be a reason why I might leave myself. |
