1 Peter 3:7 (KJV)

7. Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Whatever the intentions were of Apostle Peter for depicting the women as the weaker vessels on this occasion, it's a saying that seems not to have gone down very well with the majority of women folks, as they view it as demeaning to womanhood to say the least.

And even some christian women have been observed rebutting any suggestions of such, even though this saying actually emanated from the Bible which they observe as the Word of God, as they consider it to be something degrading, or a bad thing to be described as "weaker vessels".

For they'd rather align with the saying that didn't emanate from the Bible which goes,"What a man can do, a woman can better", even another way to say that "men are the weaker vessels" or rather that "women are the stronger vessels", even though it clearly contravenes that saying in the Bible that illustrates the women as "weaker vessels", to perhaps suggest that such a disapproval of theirs of that saying, is hinged to a large extent on the fact that they view it as a mere supremacy battle, and hence one which "the weaker vessels" always loses.

And certainly they're right and have a point from the perspective of the world where weakness in this respect is viewed as a flaw and defective, while strength is adjudged a benefit and prestigious.

But then, when it comes to the perspective of the Creator of man and woman, then they have got it very wrong, as such weakness appears to be a very good thing and a benefit, while strength in that sense is observed to be a flaw and not a very good thing.

For it was said:

2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness...

Therefore in the sight of God, while "weakness" is a strength, "strength" is a weakness, for while "weakness" help bring out the best of God in a person, strength limits and hinders His ability to that extent.

And moreover "weaker vessels" bring Him much more glory than "stronger vessels", for if it's the weaker vessels that God uses to showcase His ability and capacity, the glory will be God's since the vessel was weaker, so for the weaker to be able to accomplish such, it would confound the world and prove to them that "this must be God" since not much is expected of a weaker vessel.

However in the case of a stronger vessel, when God uses a stronger vessel to accomplish something great, it could be said by the those of the world, that after all this vessel was a stronger one, so no much surprises there, as more was already expected of the stronger vessel.

That why God would rather use "weaker vessels" rather than "stronger vessels" of this world, for the weaker vessels not only make Him to be more efficient, and show the extent of what He can do, but they also bring Him far more glory all things considered than the stronger vessels.

Hence it was said:

1 Corinthians 1:27-29 (KJV)

27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29. That no flesh should glory in his presence.

So if it indeed be that women are the weaker vessels then it may not be such a bad thing after all, but a very good thing if they could allow God to bring out the best of Himself in them.

For thereby they could be made stronger than the men who are implied to be the stronger vessels.

For it was said:

1 Corinthians 1:25

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

But quite unfortunately for the women they hardly know the value of this quality they have in the sight of God, that they see it as demeaning to womanhood, and hence would be observed striving to be viewed as stronger vessels as the men are said to be.

However while they feel ashamed of being tagged weaker vessels by men, because they see it as a debasing tag, there are yet those men who know better, and hence are quite envious of this particular quality which a woman possesses, that they wished they came into the world as women and in their shoes, so that they can capitalize on the benefit of being weaker vessels, as God's strength could only be made perfect in weakness.

But as they are not women genderwise, just as it is with the instance of an adult having to humble himself as a little child to be able to enter into the Kingdom of God, they have had to weaken themselves to become weaker vessels as the women, so that God's strength could also be made perfect in them.

So It appears a case of having something valuable, but not knowing the true value of that thing, hence treating that valuable thing as something of no value, and taking it for granted, that it would take someone else who doesn't have that thing, but knows it's true value, to be able to appreciate that thing that one has, and hence accord it with the kind of regard that such a valuable thing deserves.

Therefore the women ought not remain forever oblivious of the value of being the weaker vessels in the sight of men, because in the sight of God the Creator of both man and woman, it is indeed something very valuable, as it presents Him with the rare occasion to be able to showcase the perfect extent of His strength.

Hence, the weaker vessels are God's favorite vessels.

The weaker they are, the stronger they can be.

They asked, "who sent you?"

I said, "Satan sent me".

It is verily the weak that follow that which demeans them.

Yes!

Yes.

And only when God wishes to do so.

And that can happen when Jesus comes back.
