This woman has clung to her title of the richest woman in Nigeria for years and has also gone ahead to bag the title of the second richest woman in Africa. The bulk of her wealth came from her oil company FAMFA Oil; a multi-billion dollar empire she is directing. The company is involved in oil and gas production and exploration.

As of today, Folorunsho Alakija has wealth that is worth over $1.4 billion dollars and owns vast properties in Nigeria including a private jet. She was born in 1951, Alakija is 66 years old, and this woman is also into fashion designing which formed part of her wealth.

The Richest Woman In Nigeria
Folorunsho Alakija studied fashion designing at American College London and Central School of Fashion, she later returned to Nigeria to establish her own fashion outlet. Alakija was once the secretary of International Merchant Bank of Nigeria in the 70s, the bank is now defunct.

The well-known business tycoon and entrepreneur is also in the printing business. She overtook Oprah Winfrey as the richest black woman in the world in 2014.
