Popular Igbo Traditionalist/Historian Oliver Nwokedi Reveals Secrets About Lagos. Watch this video and learn who actually used to own Lagos. Lagos was formerly called Idu Kingdom ruled by Igbos with Obas as you have some part of Anambra and Igbo area in Delta. It was later relinquished to Edo, Edo being a descendant of Eri in Igboland. Keep in mind that Edo people you see today not all are genuine Edos, real Edo people are descendants of Igbo, you can tell by their Igbo physical features...flat head, hairy, bigger in size, muscular, dominate sports and lighter in complexion. The Edos you see that dominate female football teams or sports, go look at their names. Their surnames are usually like these: Ene, Gwea/Gwa, Ukagbere, Uso, Ero, Esele. These are Igbo blood Edos not Not the ones that look and have Yoruba names like Oshiomole that are today the majority.

Back to my topic, This was a time Igbos used to rule some parts of what you called Yorubaland such Igbo Ora, Ijebu Igbo (Ije bu Igbo in Igbo language, meaning Journey or Traveling is Igbo) and many other places in Yoruba. Go to yorubaland, you will see more places with Igbo names than any other region in Nigeria except Igboland. Why is that; have you asked yourself? Why is it that there no places in Igboland relating to yoruba but the reverse is the case in yorubaland? It's common sense that places you used to live will have traces of you than a place you have never lived. Yorubas migrated from Congo and settled around places like Benin Republic, Togo and present day SW. One way you can tell that Yoruba is not native to these lands they claim is you hardly ever find artifacts in SW relating to yoruba; never!

Oliver Nwokedi also dares Yorubas and Igbos to go to the palace of Oba of Lagos and compare the tradition of the throne of Oba of Lagos to that of Igbo and Yoruba, and see which the Oba is more related to. He claims that Oba tradition is 90% Igbo, nothing related to Yoruba. That all the places in Yorubaland with Igbo traces have Oba, not Oni. He said he will pay for this trip and videotape live for all Nigerians to see live.

Link. Watch the video before you comment...lots of facts he stated. Also follow this guy on youtube to learn about ancient Igbo traditions.

Why are there Ugbo Kingdoms in both Igbo Land and today's Yoruba Land (in Enugu State and Ogun State)?

Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe said that Oyingbo has been inhabited by large number of Igbos since the 15th Century. At that time Oyingbo was an important port for honey, the same way Apapa is today an important port for cars and other goods. Igbos have been trading all over the world since ancient times. No be today.

There is Ogba in both Igbo Land and today's Yoruba Land. Yorubas own Lagos as of today, no contest.

First, it was "Lagos is a no man's land" then it's the binis that owns lagos. Soon they claimed, na di Aworis owns the city but now dey don finally reach their goal.

Ok, make una go claim your ancestral land from the lazy, war-shy yorubas. Shebi, you guys are super human beings brimming with intenstinal fortitude.

Several university dons are currently in the process of unearthing new facts. But Ile Ife of today is Yoruba Land. Has been so for 1000 years. Lagos of today is also Yoruba Land. No contest.

Like I always say, if anyone tells you Lagos is no man's land, just smile. Today it is Yoruba Land. Is Oba of Benin complaining?

Igbos are a Judeo-Christian civilization. More research is being done to unearth ancient facts about the Igbo. The Great Igbo. The unique Igbo of the world.

Igbo means weed in yoruba and it also means *unwanted plant* this man is nothing but a slow poke. Yoruba too should start saying the title obi which means (kolanut)in yoruba is stolen from yoruba language...Yoruba people don't Care about you people for crying out loud.
