Hello, Experienced doctors in the house should help me. My little niece between 16-17 years got admission to one of the schools in the south south, she did her matriculation last two-week . A day afterthe matriculation, my sister got a call from a nurse that she got her number from my niece, that she saw and picked her on the road talking to herself that she is in her custody that she is acting funny .my sister got there and moved her to a govt hospital a day later she was discharged. Now she talk more , mention almost everyone's name. Switches to a different topic when answering questions. She said she can remember that she was drugged. Now my sister took her this morning to a spiritual church and healing home because a close friend yold her that the man cured her brother who had a similar case . Am told the she is on chains now but she is not violent. We can't establish if its a mental problem or she was drugged and while in shchool she was putting on with her secondry school mate who is no where to found and she lost her phone .Please any one who has witness a similar she kindly advise . Please ignore my English .

Spiritual home?

When would you learn?

Psychiatry is a well developed medical science.

Get her to one and stop exacerbating the problem.

She needs psychiatric attention so that she can get on medication as fast as possible before her condition worsens. She does not have any spiritual problem but a mental problem. Nigerians are always quick to hide mental problems under spiritual issues so that people won’t say there is mental illness in their family. Your niece is suffering from a mental illness and I am sure the mother knows this but has probably been hiding it from everyone before it blew up in the open. Please get her to a hospital ASAP before her condition worsens or she is sexually abused in that church which will make it worse for her.

Exacerbating wow!
Some medical problems just can't be cured by medical science alone.
It gets to a stage where the Doctors would have to tell you to seek other means apart from science.
He saying he wants to go further past medicals isn't "exacerbated", science is just overrated (especially in parts of the world who do not its limit).
Some Sickness and Disorders mere science just can't do anything about.
So if at all he wants to include this disorder among the "some", then I believe it isn't an issue as long as she gets "healed"(that'll be similar to the word "cured" in medical science).
(I hope he fathoms).
Cheers! anyways

Take her to the hospital for medical attention. Also pray for her, always declare total healing to her. I pray that Almighty God will heal her in Christ's name Amen

She was probably drugged. The drug took a long term effect. The case which I have seen is a case when a gal ate a drugged food. For 2 to 3 hrs she was acting insane. She recovered. Ask her questions, she will reply. Ask her for her boyfriend name. Ask her questions but very friendly and act like she was Normal. Don't panic. It could be spiritual or physical. Many nairalanders are atheist and won't agree. But for those chains. Its too far. You are killing her mind more.
