My heart bleeds every time I see what became of Diamond Bank. A bank that had everything going for it. Nothing kills an organization more than bad management

If cares is not taking Access will be affected in short time. Mark my words. UBA experience same to acquire Standard trust Bank. Where is UBA today? A new identity or maintain full Access identity a better solution.
Re: Access Bank Unveils New Logo by Mustay(m): 12:25am On Apr 01, 2019
The logo is simple and I'm surprised some peeps have issues with them. This logo is a repeat of what occurred when UBA 'merged' with STB; UBA's logo had to be modified to take in STB's S. Here, Diamond Bank's logo replaced the chevron sign of Access using their color.

I will miss the chevron sign of Access Bank's logo as that had a lot of meanings. Now that they've removed it, does it mean they have gotten to the last destination? If you know, you know!

They should keep deceiving themselves. It's not a merger, it's total acquisition. They just don't want to cause panic. Soon that diamond logo will disappear and it will be Access logo.

Whether good or bad, I have moved all my money to StanbicIBTC. I no wan hear say them shoot bird, him mama fly.

Uzoma Dozie, you see your life?

It’s a scheme of merger

The rise and fall of Diamond Bank should be studied in business schools.
It had so much promises, so much potential....

Access bank be swallowing up other banks..... first Intercontinental, now Diamond!

They didn’t collapse. I don’t think it’s a bad idea to merge. Both banks leveraged on its strengths

Another Igbo business collapses.

Tribalism, nepotism, greed are the reasons why Igbo-owned businesses don't survive the second generation.

Look at Diamond Bank, the founder gave the bank to an incompetent, unproductive, randy fellow to run just because he's his son. That one specialised in sleeping with married women in the bank.

Go and check the debtors list of Diamond Bank. You'll see that the present and previous management gave loans based on "my brother, my brother". Now, the bank is dead.

Don't worry, you'll soon hear them selling their assets to pay Access bank in the coming days. Access would collect every kobo from these titled debtors.

Run businesses like okrika shops at Idumota, why would they last? Put competent people in charge, mba. It is Okafor and Sons. Not minding if the son is a corporate cancer like Uzoma Dozie.
Really, when Erastus akingbola ran intercontinental bank into the ground, he was an igbo?

Or when that Yoruba guy that owned HITV used borrowed funds to carry Yoruba women with big behinds to Europe for sex romps while dstv was expanding, you were not born then?

Look at the way innoson is about to teach segun agbaje of GTB a bitter lesson due to his gross mismanagent

Bigoted son of a gun. na igbo matter go kill you.

If you don't or cannot differentiate between merger and acquisition is a big problem.

Two firms leveraged on SWOT. Strength weakness opportunity threat.

Literally, one will call the shots than the other.

Nonsense

1. Standard Trust acquired UBA after Belo Osagie ruined UBA.

2. Union Bank was nearly run aground with Barth Ebong and Co.

3. First Bank was seriously affected by its massive over-exposures to oil and gas deals when its debtors with debts in dozens of billions of Naira couldn't pay back.

4. GTB's corporate governance is madt and is presently Nigeria's most profitable company.

5. I'll put my money in Zenith over UBA and Union.
Zenith is bae, @no competition

Access Bank had somehow always reminded me of Access Storage UK. Font-wise, hmmm, just a bit but with colours, ah!

GTB also kind nicked the orange-ness from Orange Mobile, with orange square & I think they ran something like Im Orange as well. Not sure.

A fantastic entrepreneur and go-getter.

There are corporate governance standards on board. He doesn't run the business like a personal fiefdom cos he is not a sole owner of the business. Aig and Herbert laid good foundation and leadership is based on results and not nepotistic ties.

See, in the coming days, Herbert would mess up those Chiefs and Daddies who took loans from Diamond bank and refused to pay. They would smell pepper.

"Dozie became the GMD on October 24, 2014 when the financial institution’s bad loans stood at N42.5 billion. In his three years at the saddle however, the bank’s bad loans had crept up to N56.7 billion in 2015, N100.4 in 2016 and N119.98 billion in 2017."

Nah. Access didn't acquire Afribank.

Afribank > Mainstreet Bank > Skye Bank > Polaris Bank

By the way, from the combination method, it's obvious it's an acquisition. Guess they don't want people to panic, hence, their merger-esque strategy.
