The member House of Representatives , Honourable Sunday Marshal Katung today used the occasion of his birthday to celebrate with victims of Kajuru attacks, who are displaced living at Kajuru IDP camp ,Sabon-Tasha ,Kaduna.

Honourable Katung , who represents Zango-Kataf /Jaba Federal Constituency and the PDP's running mate , donated relief materials worth millions of naira to the affected victims .

Speaking during the formal presentation of the relief materials to the beneficiaries , Honourable Katung who expressed sadness over the incessant attacks and killings of innocent citizens , urged privileged Kaduna citizens and Nigerians to help the affected victims with food items and other necessary relief materials .

According the lawmaker, the Internally Displaced Persons need "Our support during this time of their travail.

" They are our brothers and we need to show love and support and equally help them return to their homes .

"Our prayer is for this not happen again , we are here to show solidarity and concern for the displaced persons here.

"We should do everything to help them go back to their families, especially when the sanitary and living conditions are poor .

"People have done quite a lot ,but it is not enough".

Among the relief items donate are : 40 bags of maize; 150 bags of (10kg) rice ,5 tins of(25litres) palm oil and 20 cartons of soap.

Others are :30 pieces of large and medium mats ,20 bundles of roofing sheets and a donation of500 hundred thousand naira cash for health and medical intervention .

Highpoint of the occasion was the official presentation of the relief materials to Chairman of Southern Kaduna People's Union( SOKAPU) and singing of Happy birthday songs in honour of the celebrant ,Honourable Sunday Marshal Katung at the Adara Community Hall ,Sabon-Tasha ,Kaduna.
