I myself am a small Chelsea fan, but i am concerned with the way Ancelotti is behaving about buying new players. What are your views? How do you think we will compete with big teams like Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City etc, in the premier league in this season and subsequent ones.

age is only in the mind. ancelotti was criticized unfairly in milan for using the maldinis, nesta, cafus and people called them old and retirees, but the rest is history with numerous trophies won.

@Poster: You should be asking if Edvin van d.S, AT 40, Giggs 37 and scholes 35 can survive this season.

That is true, But what we lack in age we have in pack loads of experience, I guess this is an upside.

Age would catch up to them in the final stretch of the season as all of them would start dropping from injuries.

See this people spewing garbage here!!!
How many ''old men'' do we have in Chelsea presently?
Kalou? Malouda? Mikel? Ivanovic or Cech?
Drogba is just 32,
The last time i checked, None of them is above 32 years, except Hilario who's 35 and barely used.

See this

Cech 28
Ivanovic 26
A.cole 30
Terry 30
Alex 28
Lampard 32
Malouda 30
Benayoun 30
Ferreira 31
Anelka 31
Zhirkov 27
Mikel 23
Kalou 25
Drogba 32
Ramires 23
Bosingwa 28
Sturridge 21
Turnbull 25

how can you say this team is full of old players?

They might well do but if Abramovic is not willing to incur losses like he did before to build another quality team, then their future is AC Milan's present or even worse with the decline in performance as rapid. Wouldn't it be interesting if its the same coach that presides over the end of both club's golden years?
