Shehu Sani, vice-chairman of the senate committee on foreign affairs, has accused the federal government of treating the embassies abroad with lack of seriousness.

Sani said this when the ministry of foreign affairs appeared before the committee to defend its budget.

its a shame to be Nigerian, even the one in Atlanta lacks modern amenities, a whole embassy servicing the entire southern region of the US only have 1 working finger printing machine which is constantly broken. Only in Nigeria have I seen it take 1+ years to be able to renew or acquire a passport. American Passport takes 2 weeks, sometime less than 2 weeks. Invest in your country oh. Those machines do not cost anything more than $10000. So Fucking Sad

I don't know of Nigeria Embassy in Russia but when you visit Nigeria Embassy in Germany, you will be ashame to even call it an embassy. It lacks everything. No waiting space for people who want to renew or apply for passport except basement.

Actually, the real problem with Nigeria is that it is full of people just like you, so extreme in your tribalism that you are incapable of considering anything objectively, unshakably convinced as you are that your tribe has a monopoly on merit, and that the answer to every problem under the sun must therefore be to put your own "kinsmen" exclusively in charge. The funny thing about this attitude is that last I checked, there is not a single corner of Nigeria where first-world standards of governance hold sway, so it's not as if there's any evidence to support this all too common prejudice.
