Travelers have besieged rail stations in Abuja and Kaduna, despite the move by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu who inaugurated “Operation Puff Adder” to tackle kidnapping, banditry and other crimes along the expressway on Friday.

The travelers besieged the Abuja end of Idu rail station and Kaduna end of Rigasa station to get tickets early Saturday morning.

The queue was a surprise to many travelers who chose Saturday, with the hope that the stations would be less congested.

A traveler who simply identified himself as Abdullahi said: “I decided to travel today (Saturday) because the crowd is usually much on Friday, now it’s becoming more crowded even on weekends. This is to show that people can’t trust their lives with the Abuja-Kaduna road.”

The first train to Kaduna from Abuja was scheduled to leave at 7:00 am.

However, the ticket for the first trip was already sold out, passengers were left with no other choice than to obtain the standing tickets. Despite exhausting the standing the tickets, many still missed the first trip scheduled to arrive at 9:00 am.

A passenger who was travelling with his family to Kaduna for a wedding said he woke up as early as 5:00 am, hoping he would get to Kaduna by 9:00 am.

He said the situation made him perplexed as to whether to still travel or not.

He further urged the Federal Government to make provisions for more coaches to ease movement of people between inter- states.

If they see nobody on the roads, they will come kidnap on trains. Leaders have failed the people.
Even the operation puff adder is just puffing while people are being killed.
Soon another James Bond will take photographer into the shrubs for another photo shoot.
Even air not safe you didn't hear thieves are removing bags from aircrafts on the runway in Lagos.

Results of a failed government.

THE TRUTH IS IN A LONG WHILE NOW, WE HAVE NEVER BEEN IN SUCH WORST CASE. SERIOUSLY NIGERIANS HAVE NEVER SEEN IT LIKE THIS BEFORE, THE LEVEL OF INSECURITY IS ALARMING

THEY NEVER EXPLAINED THE MEANING OF NEXT LEVEL, WE DON'T KNOW IF ITS NEXT LEVEL OF HARDSHIP OR INSECURITY

BUT ONE THING I KNOW EVERYTHING THING WILL COME TO PASS ONE DAY, BOTH THE GOOD AND BAD.

WE SHALL OVERCOME BAD NAME, BAD GOVERNANCE, AND BAD LEADERS.

ISHA ALLAH, GODS WILLING
THE WICKED WILL NOT GO UNPUNISHED.

For the First time I had to travel by rail from Abuja to Kaduna last week and the crowd at the train station was huge.
My co-traveller told me they were coming from Kano and had to park their vehicle in Kaduna at the train station to proceed to Abuja which was not their initial plan but due to the kidnapping.

Another passenger who works for the Govt said they paid N20 million to secure the release of the chairman of the board of their agency same week after 9 days in captivity after being kidnapped between along Abuja - Kaduna highway.

When Nigerians are pushed to the wall, instead of taking a stand, would rather create a hole in the wall and enter.

Imagine this nonsense.

Lol
A certain Ibrahim I met said the South taught the north armed robbery and kidnapping. So I asked him.. have you ever being successfully forced to learn what you honestly don't want to learn?
Thing is, the north were largely okay because all government tries to pamper them, not that it has changed but the unfortunate leadership of the day can't even pamper itself less for a region, so survival instincts begin to kick in and suddenly we no longer hear of kidnappings in the east but North and south west. Oh of course it's still happening there but like those people view "business", the moment there are too many people, it becomes less lucrative.
So let's wait and see what they come up with next. At the end it's all about survival.

God protect us all train is nice but needs additional seating make them call person when them dey purchase these things I can consult for a fee

Nigerians should be allowed to arm themselves against all these criminals. Imagine the kidnappers stopping a vehicle and all the occupants shoot at them.
