Ex 31:17

It is a sign between me and the
children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Ish 40:28

Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

The problem here may be your eyes, but then I know you, so I think that it is worse than your eyes.

Exodus clearly said that God ceased from labor and was refreshed (see NASB). In the translation you quoted from, He "rested and was refreshed." Nowhere does it say that He was tired. Rest and refreshment are an anthropopathism used there to describe something about God that we, being creatures - and mortal ones at that, would not be able to appreciate otherwise.

In our experience as mortal creatures, rest and refreshment mostly happens because we have exhausted ourselves. But even then, it is not the only case. Even when we are not exhausted, we can refresh ourselves after a bit of work is done, simply because we have finished doing what we set out to do.

God is Spirit. He never tires out. When He finishes work, the Scriptures describe what He enters into as a state of rest and refreshment, but that is only for us to be able to appreciate not only the perfection of His Work and the utter lack of need for any further work to be done, but also a perfect end or termination to His Work.

But I don't expect you to understand any of that, much less accept it.

God rested not because of being tired or weary but to set an example for puny human beings like you and I, that we cant be going on flat out, if we do, we will burn out and collapse, that we need rest every now and then GreatResearcher. Capisce now?

I see you think it is contradictory but it is not. The clarity of the statement lies on the amount of information and understanding you have.

Come on boy, stop being foolish, is it not the Law that the proof of a thing lies in the very nature of the thing?

The proof of water is in water, the proof of physical is physical
Therefore the proof of Spirit must be... (you are not that dumb are you?)

Proof that the sun is a likely source of heat is the warmth on the skin; proof that a piece of furniture can take your weight is that it does not fall apart when you sit on it. What kind of proof do you need of God's Spirituality beyond that fact that God cannot be other than Spirit by definition?
