There are so many reasons why you never should

i'm sometimes distant, often shy and acutely rude

i find it hard to share or give

my awkward reaction could make you grieve

my fears erupts like anger

i'm arrogantly xenophobic to a stranger

and often spend all day

with nothing interesting to say

but i could make you smile

giving you a Royal treat

love you as much as not to lie

and treasure even the prints of your feet.

I'm more caring than the strangers you know

even though this tender side i hardly show

i wonder, will you be my friend?

That unlike me i could trust and depend

who, far beyond the feebleness of any vow or tie

will touch the secret places where i'm really i.

A friend who will not run away when you find me in the streets

Alone and lying strangled by my share of defeats

but will stop and stay

telling me of another day

when i was beautiful

and still loveable.

Will you be my friend

there are so many reasons why you never should

i'm irritating when it comes to matters of food.

Always i'm never serious

i'm often xcessively jealous

i bluster and brag, seek attention like a child

i brood and pout, my temper can be wild.

I wonder, will you be my friend

who, when i fear and push you away

you will still stubbornly stay

who when no one knows my name or call my phone

will still remain and make my name the ringing tone

who when theres nothing left but me stripped of beauty

will nonetheless cover my nakednes in love and sympathy

so i ask will you be my friend?

For no reason that i know

Except i want you so.
