I finished secondary school @ 15. spent 7 years at home before I gained admission. in life there must be challenges, but it's not the end of the world.

Even the parents didn't know that she was already sent packing by the school because the school didn't contact the parents. There are so many of them like that. They would still be hanging around the schools and parents wouldn't know anything at home

To be honest at times this thought of ending my life use to occur to me but any time I want to go ahead I think of my widow mom and little brother (though he's in jss1 now)Nd my spirit just becomes weaker Nd weaker.I hope somehow God helps me.

Suicide should never be your option bro. Pls don't ever consider it. If I table down my own problems, I may have even more than you do but I've never seen suicide as last resort. Do same bro. Things will get better someday. Cheers!

Am shocked you are saying this. This goes to show how proactive we can be. Under normal circumstances , she would have been invited for a one on one talk with Gaurdian and Counselling unit immediately signs of poor academic perromance that show she might be withdrawn begin to manifest. 90% of those who die by suicide show indicative tendencies, but we are in a society where we don't take things seriously. Don't be surprised in the next two weeks another student somewhere will do similar thing. We need to wake up to our responsibilities.

Made a 2.1 and now a road safety officer about to marry my queen. I graduated at age 31... Young people need to learn to be strong in midst of adversaries.

Am not holding brief for that unit but the student has a role to play. She should have visit that unit but she was probably shy or don't want to open up. Probably her friends may not help because non may be emotional balance to assist .You don't know for such if she went there but couldn't open up hence we can't blame that unit. Secondly her case wasn't forwarded to that unit
immediately the notice was pasted by the university management. They probably thought she can help herself. Suicide case in perevalent in many public institutions in Nigeria because of non challant attitude by many staffs. It shows the system is indeed bad

It happened to me as well, but I found the cure. Since then anytime I fail at something/anything, I'll simply celebrate the failure to clear my mind, and look for solution later.
