As candidates wait anxiously and optimistically for their Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME Results, so much pressure and speculations have been trailing the release of the results as The Joint Admission And Matriculation Board, JAMB, is for now, more concerned with dealing with those involved in the examination malpractices during the just concluded examination.


The board has made this known a few days after the examination and they have vowed to arrest and punish all involved in examination malpractices/cheating/expo. So far, according to JAMB, more than 100 candidates have been arrested over cheating and other examination irregularities.


This will no doubt affect hundreds, if not thousands of students who sat for the UTME. Also, problems of Computer Based Test, CBT, verification failures and issues hindered the smooth operations of things and prevented some candidates from successfully writing their examinations in some centres.

However, despite the hindrances and problems, the board is soon set to release results of candidates whose results will not be withheld after the scrupulous screening of candidates’ biometric data by JAMB to fish out those who cheated and those who did multiple registrations in other to ghost- write for candidates.
