Bill is used for currencies with strong Value , like the U.S. Dollar,GBP, Euro....

'Note' is used for those like Naira, Zimbabwean dollar, Liberian Dollar and the likes.

GBP and Euros are referred to as notes, US Dollars as bills. More to do with language differences.
