This article will address and highlight some of the reasons why job seekers are not getting any interview invitation despite applying to more than five jobs a day.

With key focus on fresh graduates that are yet to understand their career path and also for job seekers that want to improve their knowledge base before applying for jobs.

1. As a Job Seeker You Need To Have a defined career plan:

Having a defined career plan will help you streamline the kind of job you want as well as the sector. For example, A fresh graduate of Economics will want to take a closer look at the best course in his final year, the course he/she has passion for, that course he/she can continue talking about for more than 5 minutes without missing a breath.

2. Job Seekers Need To Research About The Job They Are Applying For:

Over the years, we have noticed that a lot of job seekers and fresh graduates do not carry out any form of research into their choice of career or the sector(s) before they start applying for jobs in that sector.

The need for research cannot be overemphasis as this will give you a clear understanding of your career choice and help you to make informed decisions on whether to pursue this line of career. The research will also help you discover the necessary skills needed to land your first job and grow in your chosen career. This way if you don’t already have these skills, you can learn, develop and build them.
