This is proposterous!

I just read it online and it stated that They weren’t arrested for swimming but they received a tip off that they were yahoo boys and girls.

“These yahoo boys recruit these girls to talk to the victim to prove the girls they are talking to are real. These girls are more or less like a bait to dope vulnerable victims and obtain money under false pretence. It is an organised crime and efforts are being made to fish out every one involved.

We are looking for girls especially who live lavish lifestyles who do not have a profitable job per day or do not have wealthy parents who can afford this lifestyle they live”.

We so far have arrested 16 girls who own iPhones worth 500,000 naira and they claim their boyfriends bought it for them. They are currently detained pending when the said boyfriend or parents will turn up at the station and prove beyond reasonable doubt that these phones were bought with legit money. We are not against the lifestyle they live but we are fully against illegal ways of making money” said the CP.
