Alakotu high school was established in 1981 at ajegunle, in lagos state and was named in honour of a great philantropist called chief alakotu. The school had classrooms, physics, chemistry and biology laboratories. It had basketball court, handball court, football field and badminton court. Besides, it had staff room and teacher's apartments.
The school became glorious in ajegunle. In academics, the students were doing well. In sports, they were winning trophies, in moral conduct, they were known to behave well. Any student that was attending the school was pround to be a student of the school. The school was famous.
The desire for higher salaries made some teachers to resign and get employment in different industries like banking and oil sector. So,there was reduction in the quality of teachers and that affected the glory and standards of alakotu high school. The students started falling academically.
Alakotu high school had a bad principal whose name was mr brown. He engaged in malpractice in W.A.E.C.(F) TBC

Examinations and was taking bribes from the students to allow them do exam malpractice. He shared the money with some teachers who supported and assisted him in the exam malpractice. The were making more money and students were having 'A's in their results. The school became known as "miracle centre". More students were enrolling in the school for W.A.E.C examination.
Graduates from the school started performing badly in higher institutions because they did not prepare well for their W.A.E.C exam owning to exam malpratice. The situation became a source of concern for the community leaders.
The leaders of the community called for a meeting and invited the principal for the meeting. They heard that he was encouraging exam malpractice and asked him if it was true. He denied the allegation. The leaders decided to petition the state government to transfer him. So,he was transferred.(u)

Chapter 2
Mr agbara was transferred to alakotu high school as the new principal. He had a wife and three children whose names were akintola, funke and femi. They were given one of the teacher's apartments to stay in the school. Akintola was enrolled in the high school.
Mr agbara was a disciplinarian who raised his children in a disciplined way. He also reflected his disciplinarian attitude in the way he managed his teachers and students.
On mr agbara's first day of resumption,he observed the activities that were going on in the school. The punishment of late comers, singing of hymns and national anthem and annoucement at the assembly ground. He was introduced to the teachers and students by the vice-principal.
Mr agbara addressed the teachers and students. He said, "i am mr agbara the new principal of this school. I know the situation of the school. My missions are to restore the glory of the school and to discourage exam malpractice.

I need the cooperation of the teachers as well as the students. We must make conscious efforts to succeed. Thank you and God bless you.
The next W.A.E.C exam was without exam malpractice and the results were good. The leaders of the community commended mr agbara and pledged their loyalty to him. All the teachers were happy with him expect the ones that were taking bribes for exam malpractice. They felt that the principal had "put sand into their garri" since they were no longer getting the bribes.
The bad teachers decided to conspire against mr agbara, the principal. They laid false allegation against him that he was taking bribes from students to allow them do exam malpractice. They arrange false witnesses against him. When he was summoned by the education board, he was asked if it was true that he was taking bribes to allow students do exam malpractice. He answered that it was not true. The false witness testified that they gave him the bribes under duress.
The education board took the matter to the (jakg)

Chapter 3
When mr agbara spent his savings, things became hard for him and his family.his house rent expired and his landlord started asking for his new rent. He made much efforts to pay bit by bit. Although the landlord took the partial payment of the rent,he was not pleased with the manner of payment. The next payment of his house rent was even more difficult to pay. The landlord so troubled him that he started leaving the house early in the morning to come back late in the night to avoid meeting him.
Mr agbara's clothes became old and faded as well as those of his family. When invited for functions, he woould not go because he did not want to feel embarassed at the function owing to his faded clothes. His pairs of shoes became so worn as a result of much trekking that there were holes in the soles of the shoes.
Mr agbara and his family could barely feed three times daily. Sometimes, they ate eba without fish or meat in the soup.

Later, they started buying food for credit. One day,his food creditor went to his house to take her money and embarassed him.
But for the support of some of mr agbara's gracious teachers, the children would have dropped out of school. Akintola successfully gained admission into unilag (university of lagos) and started studing accounting.
Things became out of the frying pan into the fire. Mr agbara began to depend on close relatives for financial support. People began to gossip about his poverty. He became sick and tired of begging.
The more mr agbara made more efforts to make both ends meet, the more fruitless his efforts appeared to be. He began to feel frustrated and started thinking that God were not in existence. His frustration led him into drunkeness and he started misbehaving.
Mr agbara drank to stupor. When he got home,he saw his wife and out of drunkeness he said to his wife,"you look like my wife". His wife became angry and reacted,i told you to stop drinking,it only gives you temporary relief.

When the drunkeness is over, you will remember your true state of reality.
Mrs agbara was deeply, touched by her husband's situation and started weeping and prayed that God should vindicate her husband. Though, she prayed, the hardship continued for seven good years.

Akintola resumed school, the university of lagos. The gates were admirable. It had the entry and exit gates with security men at both sides. Besides, it was decorated with flowers which showed the aesthetic value of the university.
When akintola entered the university, he inquired about his department and he was directed to it. He went to the head of department's office where he met professor williams.
Good morning sir,he greeted.
Point of correction, prof,he responded with a curious contenance. Are you a new student? He asked.
Yes prof,he answered.
So,what can i do for you? He inquired.
Please! Ask someone to guide me in payment of my acceptance fees, medical screening and getting accomodation in the hostel, he begged. By the way, what is your name? He asked. I am akintola agbara,he responded. Ah! You are the one that scored the highest cut off mark in my department! Hm! I'm pround of you. I will call the class rep of 200 level to guide you. You get your accomodation in the school hostel. Akintola was amazed and expressed deep appreciation to the H.O.D. He sent for the class rep who came and instructed him to give him all the necessary support and guidance. Akintola with the support and guidance of temitope, the class rep, paid his acceptance fees, did his medical, did his accreditation and applied for accomodation at the male school hostel. The activities were stressful owing to long waiting in queues. Akintola met the H.O.D and both of them went to his house. He gave him his guest room which was a room with tiled toilet and bathroom, air condition, wardrobe and good bed. He thought, i can't believe this is happening to me. I'm on heaven or earth. He called his mum and told her about everything in school and she was excited.

Chapter 5
Akintola took his studies seriously. The first day in the classroom was so exciting to him. Students were dressed in casual wears unlike dressing in uniforms in the secondary school. The girls did make-ups and dressed fashionably. As the students were in the classroom, the course adviser who was also one of the lectures of the accounting department entered the classroom. She was dark in complexion, fat and of an average height. She had a serious countenance and a striking personality. She always carried low cut hair. Mrs mordi the course adviser advised the students about their dressing, conduct, studies and their course registration. She told them the total number of course unit for both semesters of the section. Besides, she told them the core, elective and required courses. The first lecture was given by the course adviser. Akintola was suprised that nothing was written on the board with chalk unlike that of the seconday school. As a matter of fact, the note was dictated to the students.j

Akintola took his studies seriously. He was always, punctual in class, dressing well and doing his assignment. Prof. Williams took his class a course. When he started taking them the course,he told the class that akintola scored the highest score in J.A.M.B and post J.A.M.B exams. That made the class to respect him more and made him the class representative. Akintola and temitope became close friend. Temitope was raise in a good home. He avoided evil, took his studies seriously and associated with good people. He flocked together with birds of the same feather with him. Since he was a year ahead of akintola, he was always supporting and guiding him morally and academically. He helped him with past exam question papers and both of them went to the library to study more. Some students were not serious with their studies. They started partying, going to beaches and travlling. When the first semester results came out, they had many carryovers. Then,it dawned on them that they had to be serious.

The unserious students met akintola and asked him to be giving them tutorial classes. They were scared of having more carryover courses because it would lead to extension. He agreed and started helping them. In appreciation, they gave him gift and 8 thousand naira.among them were Ego,Akinkuowo and Mustapha. They were into internet fraud business. They showered him with more gifts and money and he started becoming more friendly with them.....gqd

Chapter 6
Akintola became dissatisfied with the money and gifts that akinkuowo, ego and mustapha were giving him. He wanted to make money like them. He told them, instead of you to be giving me fish, teach me how to catch fish by myself. If we teach you how to catch fish, who will be teaching us and giving us tutorial lessons? They asked jokingly and they all laughed about it. Well! Since you have helped us, why won't help you. Join us,we will teach you. Akinkuowo, ego and mustapha taught akintola how to scam, hack people's emails and get their account details and defraud them. He started making small, small monies and started changing his shoes and clothes. He began to groom his hair, wear golden neckless and wrist watches. One day, temitope was in Mr Biggs giving himself good treat when he saw a smart, gorgeous and elegantly dressed guy entered. Behold, when he looked closely,it was akintola. He hardly recognised him. He called, akintola ! Akintola turned, saw him and said, haha. Look at you ! You have changed. What

What happened, did you win any lottory? Temitope asked curiously. No,you know what, let me order for food and drinks and we will sit down and talk, okay? No wahala, temitope responded. Akintola bought food and drinks and while he was eating with temitope,he told him the source of his money. Temitope felt sad about it and said, listen and listen good. Whatever you sow,is what you will reap. If you sow good, you reap good. If you sow evil, you reap evil. It is all about decision. You decided to do internet fraud business. You can decide to stop it! The holy book says, there is a way that seems right onto a man, but the end of them are the ways of death.. I have advised you and i have warned you. Stop doing Yahoo. akintola sighed and said, you have spoken the truth in love. it is not like doing it but i have to pay my school fees, pay for my accomodation, feed and do other things.my parents and my siblings are poor.they are living in abject poverty.i want to change the situation.

Chapter 7
Akintola met akinkuowo, ego and mustapha. As they were together, ego noticed the countenance of akintola. He perceived that he was confused and inquired to know why he was confused. Akintola told akinkuowo, ego and mustapha about his meeting and discussion with temitope, his close and confidential friend. He admitted that after the meeting,he had been feeling strange. He told them that he had been having premonition. Ego smiled, paused for a while, then, told akintola that he shared the same feelings with him. He asked him, what do you want to do? He answered, i want to stop this fraudulent business because it is not legitmate. Moreover,it is not right in the sight of God. whatever one sows, the same will he reap. ego persuaded him not to stop. He said, i,mustapha and akinkuowo do not like the business but we are still on it because we are hoping that one day we will make big money and quit the business and start legitmate businesses. So,don't stop because hopefully, you would make big money...

Cheer up,what would you like to take? Champagne,moet,hennessy..... I prefer champagne and if you have pizza,i don't mind, akintola said. Akintola, ego, akinkuowo and mustapha ate and drank. When they were eating and drinking, akinkuowo said, least i forget, my friend invited me for her birthday. She requested that i should come with my friends. The birthday is this saturday and the party starts at 3:00 pm would you come with me to the party? They answered, Yes!.
