King Solomon specifically sought to kill all of his brothers who had legitimitate claim to the throne following his ascension as king. One he even slaughtered in the temple after begging and pleading, if I remember correctly. I am not blaming God for these violence in scripture as they were political wars based on territory, reprisal, treaties etc.

Some of the sexual violence and activity that occurred in the OT are more strange than some of the most purid events in game of thrones.

You complain about Game of Thrones incest between Jaime and Cersei but you also read how David's son raped his own sister - which is worse?


When you want to advise people do so without spewing hypocritic nonsense everywhere. People should not watch GoT because it is not good for their spiritual health is enough, stop threatening people with hell fire.

The only problem with Game of Thrones is the sexual explicitness and graphics. And I would advise people to watch a censored version if possible, as that kind of uncensored sexual graphic can lead your soul astray. But beyond that it's an awesome story by RR Martins..

Those scenes are seeds planted...reason I didn't even watch Empire at all when I read an article about it; same reason I cut off Shadow hunters, Jessica Jones, and any other series with these gay scenes. For someone like myself, my perfect way of relaxation is to watch a good movie or series if possible. But with the way Hollywood is going, it seems they have a plan to push all devout people off the ends of the earth by propagating scenes that would either offend them or turn them away from faith.

the christian god, we are told, is everywhere and sees all things, including all the sexual activities that has ever taken place in the world. you are a mirror image of this same god, yourself (that's what you tell us, atleast). if it doesn't defile your god and lead him to hell, why should it lead you to hell?

but as humans, i agree with you that what we see, what we hear, our environment in general, has the ability to influence us. only a handfull of people in this world can be involved without being touched. these are the people having the best life in this world, in my opinion.

but then again, the series has a parental guide. people underaged, should not watch those things. that's why it is shown at night 10pm. because it is believed that they should be asleep at that time.

the reason adults can watch it, is because it is assumed that those adults are sexually active already and seeing two people having sex on camera, though can make them feel sexually excited, but won't make them to behave inappropriately.

I'm sorry to say but you are still not saying anything sensible.

My points

1)The violence narrated in the book Songs Of Ice and Fire(which was filmed as GoT) is smaller to the violence narrated in the Bible.

2) The sexual activities narrated in GoT is inferior to the sexual immorality narrated by the bible. In GoT a brother and Sister had sex which was the OP's point. But in the bible it was narrated of how two sisters raped their father.

So if GoT and Old Testament narrate both alarming scenes then where is the issue with GoT?

The issue with GoT comes from the explicitness of these scenes when it was converted into a film. Sometimes they showed what was more than necessary. You could easily decide to fastforward those scenes. Simple!

3) Are those sex Scenes good for a Christian? No, they aren't, I stated that earlier. And if you choose to avoid the movie for that reason then I respect your choice.
