In a text messages (SMS) sent to its users between May 11 and 12, MTN Nigeria (MTN N) has spoken in regards to using *555# and *888# in loading recharge card.

The statement read:

Y’ello! Due to an upgrade, recharge on *555# & *888# will be unavailable on May 12 (1-3am) & May 13 (12-3am). Please use MyMTNApp, *904# or bank channels instead.

Y’ello, please remember to recharge your line as voucher recharge will be unavailable from 12am – 3am on 13th of May.
