Abeokuta the state capital of Ogun state widely regarded as home to Adire tie and dye fabric production

Its booming Production and market which has attracted interest from far and near, and the need to have a central place to accomodate the traders was what stimulated the state government led by Governor Ibikunle Amosun to initiate the construction of the state-of-the-art ADIRE MALL.

The 215 shopping outlet well situated at the ancient Itoku market, and close to the famous Olumo Rock when completed will provide cluster for Adire producers and sellers to exhibit their wares.

The construction which began April 2018 boasts of a link bridge( with shops flanked by walkways ) which connects the two strip mall on either side of the road,
-side parking differentiated from major highway and so much more.

With the fast pace work rate in recent weeks, the Mall is slated to be commissioned on Thursday,May 16.

He is still the best Ogun state Governor since 1999. Just that in his 2nd term he focuses more on Abeokuta and abandoned the rest LGA. His first tenure was superb BEST, touched every aspects of the state. He is also close to the people, no month he won't come to Ogtv/ local radio station to attend to peoples questions.

The building looks more like a standard Nigerian market than a mall.

Honestly Amosun did well. I visited Abeokuta sometime last 2 weeks after almost 11 years I was amazed to see the way the city was transformed.

Kudos to him he did his best. I'm sure that brand of cloth is about to resurface again in more elegant way that will attract lots of people.
