So My Car Is Really Thirsty For Water by Google63(m): 10:43am On May 17, 2019
Hi there, I drive a 2010 Toyota Camry. It started consuming water on a daily basis after I repaired the AC about 2 months ago. The plastic container dries up every morning and I have to top it up every morning. I actually thought it could be the AC that made it consume water that much, but when I asked around, I learnt it was abnormal.

Does anyone know why a car would start consuming water like a man lost in a desert and spotting an oasis? I have checked the water bottle, the pipes and radiator and there is no leak there.

So, do I need a new head gasket or could it be something else? I intend to visit a mechanic tomorrow but I also want to have an idea of what could be wrong.

Thanks.

unfortunately scan will not reveal what is causing this one...

op there is a leak or vacuum somewhere..

the engine cooling system is a closed system!

and unfortunately u might need the help of a pro to diagnose,
perform pressure/ leak down test.

head gasket things.... check your engine oil to see if water is mixed with the engine oil.... only consider this option if no leak anywhere...

This is why one of the advantages of using coolant instead or water. U can hardly spot a leaky radiator when it is filled with water since it is colourless and u might think it's ac water that is dropping. But when u have coolant in there and it's leaking, it is easily spotted since it is coloured.

You already know the solution head gasket but before then change radiotor cover n see how it goes. Check for leakage n ensure your fan is working
