Nigeria’s Super Eagles will fly into Conakry on the eve of their 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier against Guinea armed with all they need before the all- important October 10 showdown against the Syli Nationale.
NFF’s Acting General Secretary Musa Amadu confirmed that the team would fly in on a chartered aircraft, but said it would only be the day before the game.

“We expect the team to camp and train in Abuja, and fly out to Guinea on the 9th,” Amadu said adding that the Eagles will return to Abuja immediately after the game.

Amadu also confirmed that the NFF had agreed payment with Austin Eguavoen for his temporary stint as Super Eagles coach.
“We had a meeting, we discussed and he was satisfied with what we agreed. But I cannot give any details of what was discussed.”

Eguavoen has been in interim charge of the team since Swede Lars Lagerback refused to continue in the wake of a disastrous World Cup performance. The former defender’s last match in charge is expected to be the Conakry game.

Guinea lead the group on goal difference, after a 4-1 win at Ethiopia on Match Day one. Nigeria, who beat Madagascar 2-0, are level on three points.
