The South Korean government is currently using Windows on its machine, but foreseeing the future on how this popular OS' free technical supported by Microsoft will come to an end by 2020 they have no other choice than to change to Linux platform though they have so reasons but this is basic reason why they are switching from OS to Linux platform.

Have it in mind that Windows 7 was launched in 2009, and Microsoft stopped giving away any technical, security, fixes, etc. updates from 2015.

According to the report received from South Korean government, the minister of interior and safety have said it all that this changes will take place as soon as possible as the government first target was to test on the Linux based OS to thoroughly check for its compatibility with the existing software or application made for windows platform, then if the test is successful, the switching from Windows to Linux platform will be what they won't waste time to run across the entire system in South Korea.
.
Apart from the money this changing will save for them, another reason for the changing is that the Linux platform has lesser security risks compare to Windows and this is one of the main reason most enterprises around the globe uses Linux Based Os to run their machines.

Whats your thought on this, do you think this changing will benefit South Korea or if the changing will make other people around the globe to think twice before getting themselves engage with Windows.
Another reason for this change is that the Linux platform has lesser security risks compared to Windows. This is the main factor that most of the enterprise networks around the world uses Linux based OS to run their machines.
