The new Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat will be using the armoured Range Rover Sentinel SUV as official vehicle.

The new Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu with his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat was sworn in a well graced ceremony at the popular Tafawa Balewa Square last Wednesday in Lagos. The governor and his deputy will be the 15th persons to hold such positions in the state.

It was made known that the newly elected governor of the state will make use of the armoured Range Rover Sentinel SUV which was the offcial vehicle of the former governor Akinwunmi Ambode during his tenure.


The new governor is surely taking his predecessor in style, comfort and utmost security

These SUVs will have the specially made number plate “LASG 01” and “LASG 02” for both governor and the deputy respectively. These plates and the luxury road tanks were shown to the state during the swearing-in ceremony held recently.

The vehicles (from Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations Division) have been equipped with over a tonne of bulletproof glass and armour plating both for the old and newest versions. This means, it has the capability of withstanding powerful attacks such as improved explosive devices (IEDs).
