Help! I Swallowed An Office Pin. by WeighWordSon(m): 6:55pm On Jun 08, 2019

Evening Nairalanders.

Last night while pressing some clothes, I noticed an office pin I had previously dropped on the table. So I picked it up and put it in my mouth, with through intention that I would put it back in its container when I'm done.

However, I mistakenly swallowed it...

Anyone know what I need to do for the safety of my health?

Take a very solid eba with okaro soup. Make sure the portion of each swallow is solid.

I haven't eaten anything solid today. Would do that now.

I have tried vomiting and I have also taken lots of water perhaps to push it downward.

Op, I think you should go to the hospital. This is an emergency in my opinion. We don't want to hear stories about perforated internal linings later.

I've been feeling quite okay all day. But now, I feel pain on my chest and throat; getting me really confused and disturbed.

I modified my comment, check.

You should see a doctor, the pin might already be bruising those areas. I'm hoping I'm wrong though.

Not yet sire. I would be going to school today. There's a Specialist Hospital close-by, so I'd be making concrete enquiries.

I don't usually comment here though I visit the board. You have swallowed a foreign object, make no mistake you need to visit a competent doctor ASAP, preferably a teaching hospital. Delay is dangerous, you owe yourself the right to live. Shalom.

How did it go?

I swallowed it too when I was 6. It was in my mouth when my sister tickled me, went down straight my throat.

I passed it out on the 3rd day. These periods, I didn't use the water closet.
