UNN is the first indigenous university in Nigeria. it was founded in 1955. At that time, University of Ibadan was an affiliation of university of London. UI became an independent Nigerian university in 1962

It still doesn't take away the fact that University of Ibadan is Nigeria's premier University and it's quite better than UNN

UNN is Nigeria's premier university and ahead of university of ibadan.. That's why it is called University of Nigeria Nsukka.

UI is the first university in Nigeria while UNN is the first indigenous university. As per comparisons, all government universities(IST generation) are on same level.

You can argue from today till thy kingdom come, there is no diff. They all block, harrass girls sexually, and a whole lot of things. Just that some departments in some schools have lesser of those ills.

The university you go to matters little. What matters is what you do with the knowledge you got and how much you are willing to learn beyond university walls.

This type of argument is typical undergraduates kind of discussions. When you get to the real world you'll understand very well that it is all about what you have to offer not just the name of your school.

All these Ibos that want to be relevant by force. We don't brag, we leave the nature to judge itself. What we know is that no region can rival south west in term of intelligence, moral and sound education. We are proud of the best universities in the land, The premier university, UI; Great Ife, OAU; and Akokite, Unilag. Yamirins can continue to argue with their keyboards.

lol.. check jamb statistics and you will see that UNN is among the top four most sought after university unlike UI that is far below it. Infact, UNN turns out highest number of Ph.D graduates in Nigerian university history..

They can't take everybody.
