Please a good friend needs experts opinion on which of lexus Rx300 (2003),Mercedes ml 350(2003) and an Acura mdx (2006) should he settle for. He resides in lagos . Rough terrain. 2 to 3 days use in a week. Married with kids.not "too deep" pocket. Every advice would be cherished. Thank you.

I'll go for Lexus or Accura. Just choice but can't really talk about the maintenance of ML or Accura except for the Lexus a bit.

The Lexus is cool ride and maintenance ok and rugged. Most especially the 03 in it's class. The interior is supperb and you'll love it. I think the ML consume fuel than the Lexus because I once enter a ML and the owner is talking about how much he spent on fuelling from Agbo to Lag. the Accura look cool too but I know nothing about it.

Lexus is the best option. It’s the cheapest in terms of maintenance, availability of parts because it’s a Toyota brand. MDX follows.. the MB ML350 looks outdated. I will pick the Lexus 5 times before others

I believe so much on the expertise and the informed contributions on this forum;I'll wait patiently for contributions and advices from members.

I have used the ml320 twice, and i can tell you its a wonderful car.
fuel consumption is okay for me, i do use a full tank to travel lagos to owerri on A.C.
The engine is perfect, and can never die.
The braking, movement and balance is excellent.
The only issue i had with one of them was the airflow meter, i changed it twice in 2years.

Price of parts is fair.
shocks- 22k tokumbo for a pair of front own.
i cant remember changing any other thing apart from filters and breakpads.

Get the mercedes. The M112 engine is bulletproof.

Definitely the Merc. That powertrain is immortal.

The RX still looks more sportier than the ML

Ml 350 4x4 with offroad capabilities. Buy mercedes. Original parts only. Unlike toyota lexus
