Does anyone out there have experience of building with wood decking anywhere in Nigeria?

A lot of these are in Ibadan, Oyo & Ogbomoso.

am trying to research the use of wood instead of concrete for decking.
if you hany experience with this please kindly share.
this is widely used in the western and seem to work well.
am hoping it might be cheaper than concrete.
pls help.
