(kpor-kpor) someone knocked at the door of our house and my dad bid
me to open the door.I went to the
door knob and ajared it,guess who I saw,it
was sir Kuro,"good day sir" I greeted and ushered him in.He located an empty sit and sat down."Good day sir" he greeted my dad ."You are
welcome my son" my dad replied."Am sorry
for what my dad did.Forgive me,is my
fault"sir Kuro apologised , "is not your fault,you were only
trying to help my family and my daughter"
my dad said ."I know the pains I have
inflicted on your family,just because of I tried to help you,you were innocent,you knows
nothing about it but my dad refuse to take heed of your word,please forgive my dad"
sir Kuro pleaded. "I have forgiven him and I don't
have
any urge against him ".Sir Kuro turned his
face to my direction, "you said I should not
help you,you need to accept this help from me,it will favour you" he said ,"what's that?" I asked "I want you to go and meet the Minister of education ,mr Lambert, he's a good friend of mine .He may be a help
to you ,I will tell him to teach you on how to
tackle the scholarship exam questions" sir Kuro
said. He bade us good bye and departed.
Yesterday dusk was too long,thank God it is
dawn . "Ebiere,come and take
the phone,someone want to speak with you .
I collected the phone from my dad's hand "hello.who's this","it is I, Juliet" a feminine
voice said . "oh
,Juliet you have never call me so early
in the morning before.I hope all is well with
you?" I curiously, "no,
sir Kuro's coaching center has been raided by tugs" Juliet lamented. ."What!!!" I exclaimed.
*****THE KING's HOUSE*****
Hello,I hope you guys perfected the job" the
king is earnestly expecting a good report
from the person he is speaking with , "yes boss,we
raided the coaching center,destroy the desks,chairs and burned down the whole building" the leader of the thug said. "That's a goodnews ,send me your bank account ,let me transfer the money I promise you" the
king said.He
received an account number through a text message after he ended his call . He transfered some sum of money
through his phone to the account number that
was sent to him by the thug leader
.The king walked out of his room to meet sir
Kuro,who was in the sitting room ."My son,you
need to leave this village and go to another
village.This village is not safe any more for
you,it look like some people are after
your life. They just announced it on the television that your coaching center was raided by thugs" the king
tried to console Sir Kuro but sir Kuro went to
his
room without taking heed to the words of
his father. Sir Kuro's wife entered the room
to meet her husband, "honey,I heared about the news
that your coaching centre was invaded and
raided by thugs .It look like some evil men
are
after your life" his wife holded his
hand."Darling,no evil men are after me,am a free man,I
haven't commit any crime and I don't have
any beef or dispute with anyone" sir Kuro
said
.You need to leave this land and go to far
away land for some time.Maybe you should go to my parents village and live with
them. I'll go with you,for it has been
too long that we visit parents. I pray
you, for our son's sake" sir Kuro's wife was
on her
kneel,she holded his cloth and wept like a kid ."Ok , I'll go will you if you insist". He began
to pack his load with the aid of his
wife.They boarded a taxi and alighted at
Eniwari (his mother and father inlaw's
village).
*****FEW DAYS LATER*****
My dad and I went to the Ministry of
Education,since he is familiar with the place
.We opened the gate and walked inside.We stopped a man that was putting on a black cap,yellow shirt and black pair of trouser.. "Do you know where
Mr.Lambert office is located?" my dad asked
the gatekeeper ."The second room at the third floor" the gatekeeper replied .My dad and I
located the Minister of Education office as been
describe by the gatekeeper. we knocked the door of his office and waited for his respond. Shortly a stranger,with a red t-shirt and jean trouser walked to us."Good day sir" he greeted and my dad
replied him, "you are welcome". "I want you
to do me a favour" the stranger said ."What's
that?" my
dad asked."I want you to give this to
mr.Lambert" he handed my dad an envelope."Come in" a
voice said from inside .We opened the door
and went in."Good day sir" my dad greeted him,"morning,what brought you here" the
Minister asked ."Sir Kuro said,I shld come and
see you for the scholarship exam that is approaching,that
you might be a help to
my daughter and someone said I shld give
you this" .My dad gave the minister the envelope.
The minister collected and opened it,it was
a money."Are you guys trying to bribe me,get out of my office !"the
minister exclaimed with anger and threw the
envelope
back to my dad.To be continue
