Pastor Adeboye Responds To Protesters, Speaks On His Position On National Issues by MediaGuru36: 7:01am On Jul 11, 2019
GENERAL Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye yesterday reiterated his position on key national issues and the overall well-being of Nigeria.

In a statement released by head of RCCG Public Relations, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi yesterday at the National Headquarters of the Church, he reaffirmed his commitment to the umbrella Christian organizations that are mandated to speak on issues affecting the Church and the nation as a whole.

He stated, as in the past, that the views of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) represented his position and that of the RCCG.

Pastor Adeboye, himself a one-time President of PFN, noted that the aforementioned Christian bodies had spoken on the issues of kidnapping, killing of Christians, herdsmen attacks and general insecurity in Nigeria and that his position and that of the RCCG was not different from their expressed views.

Besides, as a Pastor and spiritual father to millions of people in Nigeria and across the world, he regularly leads the congregation to pray over the problems confronting the nation at all major programmes of the Church.

Adeboye who said that, to be quiet does not mean that you are silent, disclosed that he had made his views on the issues known to all the relevant authorities. He declared that very soon, Nigerians shall see that God answers prayers. He enjoined all to remain calm and maintain the peace.

The RCCG leader had always called the congregation to prayers against kidnapping, bloodshed and general insecurity at the monthly all-night Holy Ghost Service held at the Redemption Camp. For instance, at the July Holy Ghost Service, Pastor Adeboye led the congregation in supplication for God’s mercy on Nigeria after speaking on the negative consequences of bloodshed and inhumanity. That was four days before a group of students and youths under the leadership of some notable artistes like Baba Fryo, Charley Boy and Eedris Abdulkarim came to the Redemption Camp.

According to the group, they had come to show their unhappiness with his supposed silence over killings of Christians, establishment of cattle camps called RUGA and kidnapping in the country.

Your media man could have simply said nothing and let it slide, rather than trying to deflect for what the blind can even see.

In 2010, were you not playing fatherly roles when you petitioned the then President and even organised a one million man protest against his Government as a result of kidnapping, which is commendable...what changed Sir?

In 2010 Sir, you didn't wait on CAN and PFN before you started collating signatures. Your words;

“we cannot afford to celebrate, clinking glasses and congratulating each other when a horrendous decimation of the most vulnerable is picking up a pace and our stock of human capital heading for the abyss.”

Is there no decimation of the vulnerable now?

Tell us age is not letting you Sir....we will understand.
Protest no be fight...
Advise no be curse...

God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

evading speaking directly n correctively to govt of the day,
ridiculous,he owe nigerian worldly musicians no explanations, cos they are no member of any known church ,if govt is secular/worldly so should the secular Nigerian musicians report their problems to her secular govt.
But who was that Clergyman that was invited to pray for this Nigeria worldly(presidentt) leader when he was sick and about to die? if the clergyman didnt refused having anything to do with the secular leader in honoring such invitation, he shouldn't decline conveying such message to It.

I don't see any wisdom of the Rccg leader on this matter here by claiming he has communicated to the govt of the day by third party,CAN n PFN.
we know that the benefits or let say goodwill this Rccg and Leader has receive n is still receiving from the masses rejected govt of this party of apc did not come through CAN neither did PFN received anything package from FGN for Rccg leader.

Yeah! But he spearheaded a 1million man protest against the FG in 2010 which was a good thing though. That's why those people that responded for him then are asking him now "ah ah! Baba! Kilon sélé? "

I totally lost respect for the RCCG leader when two Redeem members(one in Kubwa-Abuja & the other in Zuba-Niger State) were gruesomely killed by Islamic fanatics yet no expression of vocal displeasure from Pastor Adeboye/VP Osinbajo or even a resignation of the latter in protest from this govt of injustice.

Imagine that even these acts were well documented on the media, suspects were arrested & docked but were curiously discharged & acquitted for want of God knows what evidence without any protest from these shepherds or the church.

I'm not a RCCG member but as a concerned Christain I'm also pained.Adeboye RCCG was vocal against Jonathan govt but went mute with all the super evil atrocities of the Buhari/Osinbajo regime because his godson is on board right?

Continue the hypocrisy but always remember that "a leaders sin is a leading sin" and "your sins will surely find you out."

Most times, Silence is golden. And I love my Pastor for that.

You don't respond to unbelievers who by all means want to tarnish your image, no matter what you say.

The church is marching on and the gates of hell shall not prevail.

Let them dey their dey, make we dey our dey.

Thats fair enough, now the protesters can take their protest to CAN and PFN the umbrella bodies of Christian leaders

Gentlemen please save yourselves some stress. When you know how a true servant of God should behave, you will understand why Pastor Adeboye does what he does. Don't rush to condemn through comments. Learn first and understand.

Those hypocrite bodies and pastors should do more than speak. Is it not the same politicians that troops to their churches to get prayers and blessings wherever elections are near? Or after winning the said elections? So why can't this so called bodies and pastors do more than just talk? If ordinary people like us talk, then influential people like them should do more than talk.

Na my position be that.
