JOB DESCRIPTION:

This media correspondent role involves gathering, analyzing and verifying facts according to the current news and events. The job also includes writing stories for publication on the community news website.

Daily news report.
Offering opinions upon a current event or write editorials, commentaries and selecting top headlines.
Evaluate news items to meet time, space or current requirements.
Evaluate leads and tips in order to develop story ideas
Maintain good relations with every aspect of the media, to verify and confirm the facts.
Gather information about events through interviews, press releases, attending political, sports, news, artistic and social functions.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
