Welcome to the moment of surprises when the unthinkable happens. What news have you got over there?

There are certain rules that surround the English teams pertaining the summer transfer window.

1. Papers of agreement between teams and players must be submitted to the English FA before the transfer window closes by 5pm on Thursday 8th of August but medicals can happen after then. An exception to this rule is a free agent who is allowed to sign for any team of his choice at any time of the season.

2. Player must have signed for a team before 12pm a day before a matchday if the player must feature in the team starting line up or on the reserve. This means Liverpool and Norwich must complete the signing of a player before 12pm on Thursday if that player were to feature in their first match of the season

3. League One and League Two teams have till 5pm, 2nd of September to sign players of their choice but can't do business with Premier League and Championship teams after 5pm on Thursday 8th of August until the January transfer window opens.

So here are few of the stories flooding the media so far;

Crystal Palace have rejected a whopping £70m bid from Everton for Wilfred Zaha, I wonder what Crystal Palace were up thinking.

Phillip Coutinho has turned down the move to Tottenham Hotspurs

Arsenal are close to finalizing a deal to sign Celtic defender Kieran Tierney after having agreed a deal with the Scottish Champions.

Arsenal are also watching Danielle Rugani from Juventus to replace Laurent Koscielny who left the Emirate to join the Ligue 1 side Girondings Bordeaux.

Manchester City have completed the signing of Joao Cancelo from Juventus with Brazilian defender Danilo swapping the Premier League Champions for The Old Ladies.

Tottenham are closing in on finalizing a deal to sign Paulo Dybala from Juventus

Arsenal have rejected a £30m bid from Everton for Alex Iwobi.

It is also understood that David Luiz could pull a surprise move to Arsenal under the influence of solid relationship between his agent and Arsenal new Sporting Director, Luis Edu.
