Have you ever wished you had gotten another phone instead of what you got from the phone store? After spending so much time in the phone store, you eventually pick one, and after a couple of days, you wish you had gotten the other phone that caught your attention, or you feel if you had been a little more patient, you could have gotten something better and at a better deal.

Does that sound familiar?

Make no mistake, buying a smartphone can be a very tedious task. Majorly because there are lots of options on the table, and you can only go home with one. How do you make your choice where there are so many “good” phones showcased? Eventually, you have to leave with one without overshooting your budget. One that will satisfy your needs for a period of time (at least one year).

Follow these tips and you would be able to spend less time at the phone store and make informed decisions regarding the phone you want to get.

1. Plan your budget. Many of us make the terrible mistake of not defining the range within which we would be comfortable buying a new phone. Before venturing to the phone store, you should define your minimum and the maximum amount you can spend on a mobile device. This will automatically eliminate some choices for you.

2. Decide on the operating system you want to get. This helps you to further streamline what you are looking for. There are two major operating systems in the market; Android OS and IOS. Deciding on which you want would help you eliminate other possible choices.

3. Identify what you are looking for in a phone. A lot of people end up confused because they have not identified what they are looking for in a phone. Having a list helps you create a checklist for any phone you come across in the phone store, thereby reducing the amount of time you spend on a phone product.

4. Understand the fact that you might not get everything you are looking for with the budget you planned. This is a no-brainer, especially when you have a limited budget. Learn to go for the phone that meets most of your criteria, rather than spending so much time looking for the phone that matches all your criteria. You could be wasting precious time.

By following these tips, you can cut down the time you spend in a phone store by more than half.
