Recruitment for key stage 4 (SS1 to SS3) at Shalom Science and Technology Academy (SSTAC) Enugu.


It is no longer news that Shalom Science and Technology Academy (SSTAC) Enugu is a private science, computer and technology secondary school in Nigeria. It is a first of it’s kind secondary school whose main emphasis focuses on Science, Computer and Technology through application of a STEM crafted curriculum that centers on “hands on learning”, “learning by doing” or as is generally known practical learning.
Shalom Science and Technology Academy (SSTAC) is a Cambridge International School approved by the British Council, it is also very importantly approved to sit for Nigerian and West African Examinations. To avoid sounding like this is an advertorial piece, SSTAC is recruiting once again for motivated, intelligent, and able to listen and communicate members of staff who would join the team and continue to drive the mission of this great citadel of learning.
Therefore to create an avenue for a more robust open interview, interested applicants are enjoined to send their CV and Cover letters to recruitment@sstac.sch.ng and attend interviews as scheduled below:

Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English Language, Geography, Agricultural Science, Computer Science, Robotics/Automobile studies are scheduled for an interview on Wednesday 28/8/2019. Time 10am
Venue: Shalom Science and Technology Academy, Opposite PRODA second gate, PRODA junction, Industrial Layout Emene Enugu. Enugu state.

Please don't waste our time and yours by attending the interview if you do not have the qualifications as stated below
Also make sure to bring the originals of your certificate for sighting.
Bring a photocopy of all your credentials and be prepared to leave it with the interview panel

1. Job Title: Mathematics Tutor
Location: Enugu
Qualification Required: MSc, MEng, BEng, BSc. (PGDE is an acknowledged bonus) in Mathematics or Mechanical Engineering (Experience and result of achieving success especially in External Examinations teaching students mathematics is very important. Include previous strategies you employed to make students understand mathematics)

2. Job Title: Biology, Chemistry and Physics Teachers ( Experienced teachers are given priority. Knowledge of IGCSE and evidence of achieving success teaching students Biology, Physics or Chemistry will be recognized)
Location: Enugu
Qualification Required: MSc. BSc, BSc.Ed (PGDE is an acknowledged bonus) in Biology, Biochemistry, Pure and Industrial chemistry, Physics or any Biology, Chemistry or Physics related courses. (Note applications would be considered based on Degree and Subject Area. Don't Apply to Teach Biology if you studied Physics).

3. Job Title: Automobile/Robotics Science Tutor
Location: Enugu
Qualification Required: MSc, MEng, BEng, BInd.Tech (PGDE is an acknowledged bonus) in Mechanical Engineering (knowledge of basic fabrication or welding is important, Ability to make use of basic electronic components to construct different devices is important and Knowledge of practical implementation of electrical circuit and wirings are important) Added knowledge of Computer Science especially Computer Programming will be an appreciated BONUS

4. Job Title: English Language Tutor
Location: Enugu
Qualification Required: MSc, BA.Ed, BA (PGDE is an acknowledged bonus) in English language or any English related degree.

5. Job Title: Agricultural Science Tutor
Location: Enugu
Qualification Required: MSc, BSc, BEng (PGDE is an acknowledged bonus) in Agricultural Science or Agricultural Engineering ( In-depth knowledge of Agricultural Science is important, Ability to motivate students to practice modern forms of agriculture whether plant, animal etc. will be noted. Able to work in a farm with students, teach and supervise farm management techniques will be an added bonus)

6. Job Title: Geography Tutor
Qualifications: MSc. BSc in Geography studies or any other course related to Geography. Ability to map read is essential, reading the weather on a weather map and translating it will also be helpful.

Earlier the school started with just JSS1, now it has moved from JSS1 to Senior Class progressively.

So believe me things have greatly improved.

Based on the objectives of setting up this school, an engineering graduate will surely do better. The engineer can also bring his/her practical knowledge. The management of the school wants to use one stone to kill 2 birds.

Who trained the educators? Is it not specialist in education? Dr Willy Onu who is the owner of Shalom Schools is an experienced educator true and true with all his degrees to PhD in Education. Checkout the man's pedegree from their website which I just finished reading
