Kindly advise, my dad is insisting he wants us to celebrate his 70th birthday for him and we do not have financial capacity.He has been retired  from work for the past ten years.

Its a good spirit to celebrate the 70the birthday and I appreciates this idea. You can even celebrate it simply at home rather to do any of the get together with friends . Make some perfect dishes and arrange a small dinner party only for your family members and cheers !! Happy Birthday to your Dad!!
